Why Datastrive

One Hire vs. an Entire Bench.

Hiring a single in-house IT person costs roughly the same as a full Datastrive managed support agreement — but a single person can’t cover 24/7, can’t be a senior network engineer and a cybersecurity specialist and a vCIO at the same time, and goes on vacation. Managed IT support gives you depth, redundancy, and predictable cost without the recruiting risk.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Datastrive’s service areas and what local Chicago IT support actually means.

Where exactly does Datastrive serve?
Chicago and the surrounding suburbs across Cook, DuPage, Lake, Kane, and Will counties. Our engineers cover the city and all major suburb hubs — Naperville, Schaumburg, Aurora, Rosemont, Oak Brook, Elk Grove Village, Skokie, Downers Grove, and surrounding communities.
Do you charge extra for onsite visits in further suburbs?
Onsite coverage is included in managed IT support agreements for all listed service areas. For one-off project work or break-fix in further suburbs, we may include drive time in the quote — but it’s always disclosed upfront, never a surprise on the invoice.
What if our office is outside Chicagoland?
For multi-site clients with a Chicago anchor and locations elsewhere, we extend remote coverage and partner with local vendors onsite. For businesses entirely outside our service area, we’re probably not the right fit — but we’ll point you toward a local MSP who is.
How quickly can you come onsite?
For clients on managed IT agreements: 1-2 business hours during business hours, 4-8 hours after-hours, depending on severity. For ad-hoc clients, same-day or next-day onsite is typical depending on engineer availability.
Why does local matter for IT support?
Onsite response time, knowledge of local infrastructure (ISP options, telecom carriers, datacenter providers), and the ability to meet face-to-face for strategic conversations. National MSPs often look cheap until you need someone in the building, fast.
